What is on your desk
Parks and Recreation
Your rec center goes quiet at 13. The curriculum ran in Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation from 2015 and runs in Norfolk now.
Schools
The thirty to fifty students nothing else reaches. The Code of S.A.B.E.R. maps to all five CASEL competencies. Sponsor-funded, zero cost to district or family.
YMCA
January does not have to be a cliff. The Code maps line for line onto the Four Core Values.
Colleges
A co-ed, electronically scored league that fixes the sophomore intramural cliff and reads Title IX clean by design.
Martial arts academies
A parallel sport that protects your art: separate equipment, separate nights, separate rank.
Entertainment venues
Dead Tuesdays become a second peak when a guest has a bracket position to defend.

The walkthrough: how the arrangement runs on a partner's floor.
The arrangement
Two lists. Nothing on your list costs money.
| What the instructor carries | Curriculum · equipment in and out · certified instruction · program insurance · the sponsor packet · a monthly report. |
|---|---|
| What the partner carries | One protected weekly slot for a season · a floor about 24 by 24 feet · one champion with 30 minutes a week · the announcement to your community. |
| What the partner receives | A share of program registrations on your floor (20 percent is the standard opening) · a documented program for the age group you are losing · sponsor-funded seats so your families can pay nothing. |
How the arrangement works
What I carry
- The Light Sword Training Academy curriculum: nine forms, the sash progression, the Code of S.A.B.E.R.
- All equipment, in and out of the building each session. Nothing stored unless you offer a corner.
- Certified instruction. Your staff never teaches.
- Program insurance. Your existing coverage treats the session like any other activity in your building.
- The sponsor packet that makes participants free, and the outreach to local businesses.
- A one-page monthly report: attendance, milestones, sponsor dollars, photographs with consent.
What you carry
- One protected weekly slot for one season or semester.
- A floor about 24 by 24 feet for a class; about 30 by 40 feet for a league night.
- One champion inside your organization with about 30 minutes a week.
- The announcement to your community.
What your organization receives
Twenty percent of program registrations and day passes on your floor, paid monthly, is the standard opening; it is defined in a one-season written agreement. Local sponsors fund seats so participants play free; nonprofit and public partners can collect that sponsor revenue directly for their own programs.
Every revenue figure above is a documented result from LSTA's founding operations or a labelled illustration, never a projection or a guarantee. Results vary with market, fill and execution.
Is this the right fit?
It fits if
An organization that can protect one weekly window for a season, has one person inside who will give it 30 minutes a week, and wants a recurring program rather than a one-time demo.
It does not fit if
A floating schedule; no internal champion; a one-time demo, party or assembly. If that is you, I will save us both the meeting.
The questions you will ask
Who is behind the program?
The Light Sword Training Academy, founded in Virginia Beach in 2015: a federation-registered network operating across the U.S. and internationally, contracts on U.S. military installations, two municipal Parks and Recreation partnerships, 1,500-plus warriors trained, 60-plus five-star reviews, nine combat forms.
What is the first step?
A 30-minute conversation, then a free two-hour demo class on your floor with a sign-up sheet at the door. If nobody signs, we shake hands and I go.

In 2015 the founding academy opened in Virginia Beach. In 2016 the franchise that gave the sport its international structure failed the people inside it. In 2017 the four masters above rebuilt LSTA as a federation, engineered against every failure they had survived. That history is why the terms on this page favor your organization.
The next step
A 30-minute conversation, then a free two-hour demo class on your floor with a sign-up sheet at the door. If nobody signs, we shake hands and I go. There is no cost to you at any step.
