Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Club Sabernet only for people who are already training at Light Sword Training Academy?
A: Not at all. Club Sabernet is open to everyone, whether you have never touched a saber in your life, you own ten of them and have not done anything with them, or you are a seasoned martial artist curious about what light sword combat actually is. If you feel the pull toward this world, you belong here.
Q: Is this a fan community?
A: Fans are welcome, and Club Sabernet goes far beyond fandom. Light Sword Training Academy teaches a fully structured light sword martial art of nine forms, with a real rank system and a real community behind it. This is combat training. The saber just happens to look incredible too.
Q: I own a saber but I have never trained. Is this the right place for me?
A: You are exactly who this community was built for. Most people who own a saber have never been taught to wield one. Club Sabernet is where that changes. Start here, connect with the community, and take your first steps toward becoming the warrior that saber has been waiting for.
Q: What is the rank system and how does it work?
A: Light Sword Training Academy uses a sash-based rank system, starting at White Sash and progressing all the way to Black. Each rank is earned through demonstrated skill across the nine forms, which are rooted in real martial arts traditions. Inside Club Sabernet you will track your journey, celebrate milestones with fellow warriors, and find the motivation to keep climbing.
Q: I am a parent. Is this appropriate for my child?
A: Yes. Young warriors train for focus, discipline and confidence, and many families tell us it is the first thing their child has stuck with. Club Sabernet is a positive, structured community where young warriors thrive, with parents in the loop.
Q: I have been in martial arts for years. Is there anything here for someone at my level?
A: Many of our most passionate members are experienced martial artists, and they are often the most surprised. As one veteran put it after his first session: "This is a complete, legitimate system. The nine forms are grounded in real combat traditions." If you are looking for your next evolution, light sword combat will challenge everything you think you know.
Q: Do I have to train in person or can I participate from anywhere?
A: Both. Light Sword Training Academy offers Shadow Warriors, a sash-ranked curriculum you can train from anywhere in the world with your form reviewed by an instructor. Club Sabernet connects online and in-person warriors in one community wherever you are. Your location is not a barrier to your path.
Q: What makes Club Sabernet different from other online communities?
A: Most communities are built around interest. Club Sabernet is built around identity and progression. You are not just here to chat: you are here to grow, rank up, and connect with warriors on the same path. There is no other community like this because there is no other martial art like this.
Q: Is joining Club Sabernet free?
A: Yes. You can join Club Sabernet free and immediately connect with the community, explore the rooms, and begin your journey. Courses and programs are there for warriors who want to go deeper. Your first step costs nothing except the decision to take it.
Q: Where is this sport headed?
A: The Light Sword Martial Arts Federation governs light sword martial arts as a sport and is carrying it along a formal pathway toward international recognition. The warriors in this community now are its founding generation. That is not something you can buy later.
